Designed and manufactured by Alberta Petroleum Industries Ltd., the 7 1/16” – 5000lb SWD BOP offers a familiar platform for well servicing well control. The unit is designed with interchangeability in mind for many of its components. It utilizes the same general design common to other “square body” BOPs. This insures ease of use and familiarity for customers.

Feature include:

• Common Ram Block Design: Ram blocks are interchangeable with several types of “square body” BOP’s, including the Townsend T81
• Seal Assembly: Seals are standard and easy to find. The SWD uses the same seals as the Hydril Sentry, thus no proprietary seals.
• Ram Block Rubbers: Like the ram block, the ram rubbers are of a common design and can be purchased from a wide range of manufacturers.
• Proven Design: The design is very common and has a long, proven track record in the Western Canadian oil and gas market.
